War Break! Top Cop urges citizens to fight the bandits

[www.inewsguyana.com]Police Commissioner [ag] Leroy Brumell is urging the Guyanese population to take back their communities from the hands of criminals and to war with them.

The Commissioner was at the time meeting with residents of Meten – Meer – Zorg, following an upsurge of criminal activities in the West Demerara community.

He urged them to protect their families and made it clear that there is a course of action that will be taken against those persons who are license firearm holders that fail to act when a criminal action is in progress.

According to the Commissioner, “when you have a firearm you have a position that you have to take.”

The Police Commissioner added, “I think people are getting fed up with bandits coming into your area like if they own it…commit problems and leave. I think people are getting fed up with this.”

The Commissioner added, “We have to fight these people, I urge you; we have to fight these people.” The Force decided to hold the public meeting following the gunning down of a 27 – year – old prominent businessman in the community, Zulficar Namdar.

According to the top cop, “I would not be at home and people come in at my home and my family in there and I give up that easily. War break in there. That is me…war break! And that is what we have to do…you have to fight for your right and we have to let these people know. This thing must stop.”
