[www.inewsguyana.com] – Speaker of the National Assembly, Raphael Trotman during the Thursday, June 19 sitting of the House instructed the Clerk, Sherlock Isaacs to use his Office to ensure that the answers in relation to the benefits of the Former President Bharrat Jagdeo are forthcoming.

Finance Minister Dr. Ashni Singh has failed once again to provide answers to the questions asked, more than two month ago, by Opposition Member of Parliament, Desmond Trotman on the issue.

In this regard the Speaker reminded that answers must be provided to all questions asked and it cannot be ignored. Dr. Singh at the last sitting had asked for 12 days to prepare the answers and has failed to do so without offering any explanation to the House.

Among the questions asked by Trotman is for the disclosure of Jagdeo’s electricity charge paid for each month since he demitted under the Act for former Presidents.
