Security guard remanded for stealing from his employer

DSC05103A guard attached to MMC Security Service was further remanded to prison on a simple larceny charge. Julian Winter pleaded not guilty to the charge when it was read to him.

The court was told that on July 31 in Georgetown he stole one .32 revolver valued at $103,000 and 7 .32 ammunitions valued at $3,200 property of Toolsie Persaud Limited, TPL.

The prosecution’s case revealed that on the day in question the accused who is not allowed to use a firearm reported for duty at TPL and took the weapon without the consent of the company.

Winter was previously placed before the court for unlawful possession of the said gun and ammunitions and was remanded to prison. And with today’s simple larceny charge he was further remanded until September 10. [Royan Abrams]
