Jadhav, who came out when the score was 147, clobbered his way to 37 from 20 deliveries (3 fours and 2 sixes) to put some life back into the chase of their 187 target but departed just two balls before their overs expired.

Thirty three from Kevin Pietersen (2 fours and 1 six) from 29 balls and 31 from Mayank Agarwal, who scored 2 fours and 2 sixes in his 25 ball spree.

Muttiah Muralitharan and Mitchell Starc both had 2 wickets off their maximum 4 overs, the earlier sacrificing 25 runs while the latter let slip 26 runs as the side ended 170 for the loss of 7.

Yuvraj’s welcome return to form came at a time when opener Chris Gayle seems to have lost his confidence only scoring 22 from 23 balls with 1 four and 2 sixes, while his opening partner, Partiv Patel made 29 off 28 with 4 fours.

Virat Kholi had another dreadful game scoring 10, but AB de Villiers joined forces with Singh to score a formidable total. Mohammed Shami, Siddrath Kaul and Rahul Shukla had one wicket each.
