[www.inewsguyana.com] – General Secretary of the Opposition People’s Progressive Party (PPP), Clement Rohee is not too awed by the performance of the new APNU+AFC government.
When asked by reporters to grade the performance of the seven month old administration at his weekly press conference at Freedom House on Monday, December 14, Rohee said he would give the David Granger led government an ‘F’ grade.
“I would give them an ‘F’ grade…not for the sake of giving them an ‘F’ grade, but I’ve seen them perform,” the General Secretary said.
Rohee made reference to two recent newspaper editorials, which spoke about the grasp for power at the level of the government and the record of their short time in office.
In August, Minister of State, Joseph Harmon gave the government an ‘A’ grade, pointing out that it was pleased with what has been delivered to the Guyanese people thus far.
“We have considered it over the last weekend and I can say to you that based on our own checklist, we are extremely comfortable with the work we have done and the accomplishment we have made under that plan…I would give the coalition government and A grade on the matter,” Harmon had said, referring to the 100 days plan of the APNU+AFC.
