Police Headquarters win GPF track and field championships

10406691_768241053226468_7557124283826157528_n[www.inewsguyana.com] – The Headquarters division of the Guyana Police Force last evening defended their title at the GPF 60th annual track and field championship at Police ground, Eve Leary.

The headquarters ended the competition with 501 points with the top prize of $150,000; in second position was police A Division with 402 points; third position was police country division with 206 points and the fourth position was given to B division with 191 points.

Headquarters entered the day with a massive 29 points lead, 50 finals remained and HQ continued to shine as they led the way with 99 points.HQ

The champion girl’s title went to country division, Jonella Jonas who made 30 points to edge out HQ Leota Bobb; champion boy’s title was shared between Distance Ace Grivon Grant and Marvin Tinnis and the international A class title went to ‘A’ Division Sprint Ace, Shawn Semple.
