PMTC Horse Racing set for Sunday

[www.inewsguyana.com]Organizers of the Port Mourant Turf Club (PMTC) Shariff Horse Racing was forced to postpone Sunday’s  meet due to inclement weather. It has been rescheduled for this coming Sunday.

More than $8 million in prize monies and trophies are up for grabs with the feature race being the ‘A’ and lower over 1200 meters for the top prize of $1.2 million.

In the co-feature event for three-year-old West Indies bred horses, the winner will receive $500,000 and a trophy over 1200 meters.

Other events on the day’s card are the D3 median and e and lower and two-year-old west indies median and Guyana open for $400,000 each over 1200 meters. The meet will be run under the rules of the Guyana Horse Racing Authority (GHRA).
