[www.inewsguyana.com] – Over 1600 house lots in the Farm Phase Two project were distributed on Wednesday (October 30) by the Housing Ministry during a ‘One Stop Shop’ at Providence, East Bank Demerara.
The lots were given to low, middle and high income home earners. Minister of Housing Irfaan Ali said through phase two, government has subsidized the scheme by 45 percent with an investment of $1.6 billion.
Also present at the event was President Donald Ramotar, who congratulated the new house lot owners while noting that the government is committed to supporting low interest rates from the financial institutions for housing construction. [Nickhail Jaundoo]
