President Dr Irfaan Ali has announced that Old Age pension will be increased from $20,000 to $25,000 per month.
He made the announcement during a press conference today.
There are currently 59,000 pensioners on roll.
The Head-of-State also announced that pensioners will benefit from free water supply.
