More marijuana fields destroyed along Linden/Soesdyke Highway

[www.inewsguyana.com] – During today (Thursday October 16), ranks of the Police Narcotics Branch conducted drug eradication operations at Swan and Yarrowkabra along the Soesdyke/Linden Highway.

According to police, a total of four fields, about four acres in size, were found under cultivation with approximately 22,000 cannabis sativa (marijuana) plants, about one to four feet in height.

Also, nurseries with about 60,000 seedlings and two kilograms of dried marijuana were found. They were all destroyed.

No one has been arrested.
