Over 700 children across Guyana were treated to an unforgettable Christmas experience, as the Massy Group recently hosted annual Christmas parties and gift-giving activities in the communities and surrounding areas where their branches are located. The event aimed to bring joy to the children during the holiday season.

Massy Stores, Massy Gas, Massy Distribution, Massy Services, and Massy Motors all contributed to the activities that catered to children in the following communities: Ruimveldt, Agricola to Bagotstown, Plaisance, Vryheid’s Lust, Montrose, La Bonne Intention, Mon Repos, Good Hope, Enmore, Non Pariel, and the Rupununi.

While Massy Motors and Massy Services partnered with Eripan to identify the children who would receive gifts in the Rupununi, Massy Stores donated toys to the Demerara Lioness Lions Club’s Children and Senior Citizens Christmas Party. Also, gifts were distributed to children in attendance at Massy Stores Ruimveldt’s Christmas Tree Lighting events. Massy Gas and Massy Distribution gave gifts to children from the East Bank and East Coast communities, respectively.

During the festive celebrations, the atmosphere was filled with excitement as the young attendees had the opportunity to meet and interact with the Santa Claus actor and Disney cartoon characters, who made special appearances to spread holiday cheer.

Speaking about the company’s Christmas community outreach activities, Navin Thakur, Senior Vice President, Massy Guyana, said, “At Massy Group, our commitment to the communities we serve never ends. Our companies believe in making a positive impact all year round by supporting various organizations and charities. We are proud to remain actively involved in the development and growth of the communities in which we operate. Because for us, being a responsible corporate citizen is not just a seasonal endeavour, it’s a professional duty.”

The Massy Group’s commitment to the communities they serve extends beyond the Christmas season. Throughout the year, the companies support and assist various organizations, charities, and educational institutions, ensuring that they remain involved in the development and growth of the communities across Guyana.
