[www.inewsguyana.com] – A man who pleaded guilty to the possession of 28 grammes of Marijuana for the purpose of trafficking was sentenced to three years in jail by Chief Magistrate, Priya Sewnarine – Beharry.
Thirty – Eight – year – old Shawn Cummings told the Court that he intended to sell the marijuana so that he could purchase clothing for a funeral.
He was also fined $30,000. The Court heard that the accused attempted to sell the illegal substance to an undercover police officer.
