[www.inewsguyana.com] – The Linden Amateur Basketball Association (LABA) is expected to hold an emergency meeting in order to engage the attention of its executives.
The meeting, which is set for later this evening at 6:00pm at the Mackenzie Sports Club Pavilion is to look at issues that carry significant importance to the sport in that area.
Secretary of the LABA, Joseph Chapman says that the holding of the Guyana Amateur Basketball Federation’s Annual General Meeting and Elections set for Saturday is the main issue for the call to order.
That election which is billed for Saturday in Georgetown will need to see representatives of the LABA in attendance in order for the Annual General Meeting to be successful.
The other topic of discussion is the finals of the Sunburst Under-17 Secondary Schools basketball championship.
Due to the inclement weather still prevailing and with the GABF Elections scheduled, the Sunburst Under-17 Secondary Schools final between Christianburg/ Wismar Secondary and Mackenzie High will be decided at this meeting as well.
