Police say they are investigating a robbery under arms committed on Ishwar Ramanah called Jack ,30, a machine operator of Macaw Drive, Kaneville, East Bank Demerara (EBD) which occurred around 00:10h this morning (Wednesday) at his home by two armed men.
According to the Police, Ramanah who was relieved of a gold chain valued $40,000 was shot once in the abdomen and is presently in a serious condition at a ‘Government Medical Institution’ where he underwent surgery.
No arrests were made at this time but the Police detailed that a spent shell of a small calibre weapon was retrieved at the scene by investigators.
