[www.inewsguyana.com] – The Guyana Amateur Basketball Federation (GABF) has received an acceptance letter from Bermuda confirming their participation in three exhibition games against the Guyana national side in March of 2015.

The games will be held at the Cliff Anderson Sports Hall and will give the national side a warm up heading into the 2015 Caribbean Basketball Confederation (CBC) Championships scheduled for July of next year in the British Virgin Islands (BVI).

In addition, the DC Jammers have also been invited to be a part of the event to raise the standard of the showcase.

The GABF is hoping to have the involvement of an overseas international team in order to test the local women during the course of the tournament.

Meanwhile, with the Road to Mecca National Club Championship tournament scheduled for January of 2015, the players will have a chance to showcase their talent in order to gain selection to the squad.

The last time Guyana played Bermuda was at the 2011 CBC Championships in Bahamas where Guyana lost 68-58.

Bermuda placed fifth at the championships while Guyana placed seventh. Guyana Men’s team placed fifth at the CBC Championships held earlier this year.
