Guyana hunting Regional 4 Day Title

[www.inewsguyana.com] – Guyana will be seeking the title of the region’s premier four day team when they oppose Jamaica in the first round of the West Indies Cricket Board’s Tournament.

With a team comprising several of the West Indies present and past players, the Guyana unit boasts one of the stronger teams in the tournament.

At the helm of the team stands one of the most revered test batsmen in the world and the captain, Shivnarine Chanderpaul who currently occupies the number three world ranking.

Alongside him is former West Indies Captain Ramnaresh Sarwan as well Guyanese captains Sewnarine Chattergoon, Assad Fudadin and Verasammy Permaul.

Permaul will be expected to bowl alongside county man Devindra Bishoo or Narsingh Deonarine.

The full squad is as follows: Shivnarine Chanderpaul, Ramnaresh Sarwan, Narsingh Deonarine ,Assad Fudadin, Cristopher Barnwell, Versammy Permaul, Devendra Bishoo and Sewnarine Chattergoon , Anthony Bramble, Amir Khan, Ronsford Beaton, Keon Joseph and Vishal Singh
