Warriors Skipper,Shoaib Malik had a long spell on Sunday at Providence

The Guyana Amazon Warriors preparation for the August 8 to September 16 of the Hero Caribbean Premier League 2018 continues with two practice matches at Providence.

In keeping with the times of their first three home matches in this year’s CPL, the game on Monday August 6 will begin at 16:00h while the other is set for Tuesday August 7 at 18:00h.

The Guyana Amazon Warriors full squad will mix with Guyana’s leading First Class players to give every player opportunity on the field.

Captain Shoaib Malik and wicketkeeper batsman Luke Ronchi joined the squad on Saturday and had full net sessions on Sunday at Providence where the Warriors are under the watchful eyes of Head Coach Johan Botha and Assistant Coach Rayon Griffith.

Full squad: Shoaib Malik, Sohail Tanvir, Chadwick Walton, Chris Green, Rayad Emrit,         Imran Tahir, Jason Mohammed, Luke Ronchi, Veerasammy Permaul, Roshan Primus, Shimron Hetmyer, Devendra Bishoo,           Sherfane Rutherford, Romario Shepherd, Keemo Paul, Saurabh Netravalkar and Akshaya Persaud.

Some of the First Class players that are expected to participate in the two days are Christopher Barnwell, Anthony Adams, Roland Ali Mohamed, Clinton Pestano, Trevon Griffith, Ramaal Lewis, Raun Johnson, Anthony Bramble and Robin Bacchus.

On Thursday, August 9, the Guyana Amazon Warriors will take on St Kitts and Nevis Patriots at 18:00h; the St Lucia Stars at 16:00h on Saturday, August 11 and on Sunday, August 12 the squad will play the Barbados Tridents at 18:00h.
