Celebrations for Guyana’s 50th Independence Anniversary celebrations in New York come June 4-12 this year, is expected to kick off in style and fanfare as the planning committee of these events continues to work tirelessly in successfully pulling the activities off.
According to Chairman of the Planning Committee of Guyana’s 50th Independence Anniversary Celebrations (NY) Rickford Burke, during the week slated for the celebrations, President David Granger, Prime Minister Moses Nagamootoo and other Government officials from Guyana will be guests of honour.
“Our Committee is pleased to serve the Guyanese diaspora. Come June 4 – 12, 2016, we look forward to hosting the greatest celebration Guyanese have ever seen in North America,” said Burke in a press release highlighting the members of the committee.
