George, Alder rewarded by NaMilCo for Boyce/Jefford Classic performances

[www.inewsguyana.com] – Olympian Winston George and national javelin record holder Natasha Alder were blessed with $50,000 each for their performances Sunday last at the Boyce/Jefford Track and Field Classic that was held at the Mackenzie Sports Club Ground in Linden.

Alder, who was by far the best field event athlete over the two day event, mesmerizing with her throws, was deemed the female champion athlete while George who won the men’s 100, 200 and 400 metres and is now the games record holder of the 200 metres and joint holder of the men’s 100 metres at the event was deemed the male champion athlete.

Both their performances were recognized by the National Milling Company (NaMilCo) which was pleased to be associated with the highly successful championship.

NaMilCo’s Managing Director, Bert Sukhai wished the game organizers well in the future while congratulating both athletes on their outstanding performances.
