[www.inewsguyana.com] – Scores of persons took part in a two-day training exercise coordinated and executed by the Guyana Elections Commission (GECOM), last Saturday and Sunday.
This exercise has been designed to comprehensively train persons identified to work as Returning Officers and other field staff, to effectively and carefully manage the conduct of Local Government Elections.
Over the two days of training, participants were expected to develop an appreciation for and understanding of the organizational structure that will be used to facilitate the conduct of the Local Government Elections processes.
In addition, the participants were given guidelines on how to develop proper strategies to effectively make the necessary preparations for the conduct of Local Government Elections, and to bring closure to the exercise.
Participants were also expected to acquaint themselves with the necessary steps involved in individuals casting a ballot, and were also trained in properly dealing with the different types of electors.
Moreover, they were also exposed to the various forms and envelopes used during Local Government Elections, and were taught thoroughly and correctly the accurate methods of completing these forms and envelopes.
GECOM is intensifying its training of staff for the conduct of Local Government Elections. Last weekend’s training exercise was held at locations in Regions 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6.

2015 Elections was RIGGED! Surujbally said the “CEO was lauded for finding the anomalies and highlighting them, and therefore Many Statements of Polls (SOPs) received by GECOM from the ten (10) Electoral Districts were identified as FAKES.
At its meeting of Wednesday, May 13th, 2015, the Chief Elections Officer of GECOM, Mr. Keith Lowenfield, disclosed that he had noticed that many of the SOPs had formats different from the authentic SOPs that were earlier distributed to the Electoral Districts to be used by Presiding Officers to tabulate votes at Polling Stations.
These fake SOPs did not additionally carry the endorsed signatures of GECOM that were applied to every SOP purchased by GECOM from Canada.
It was also disclosed that SOPs had numbers of voters that exceeded the voters that were assigned to the Polling Stations.

These persons have been ”identified”,emphasis on the word identified. Who were involved in identifying these persons? What were the criteria used to identify these persons? Were the positions advertised nationally so that interested persons could have applied? Are these identified persons reflective of the make up of the population? Simple questions that need honest answers to avoid the PPPC, justifiably, asking for the names of those working on election day.

HOPE THEY WERE TAUGHT HOW TO IDENTIFY FAKE SOP’S AND THOSE WHO MAY BE TEMPTED TO VOTE MORE THAN ONCE
