Four charged with theft of GT&T Cables

[www.inewsguyana.com] – Four men who are charged with stealing cables from Guyana Telephone and Telegraph (GT&T) were today placed on $60,000 bail each by Chief Magistrate Priya Sewnarine – Beharry.

Thirty – three – year – old Labourer, Rollen George of ‘B’ Field Sophia, 28 – year – old Seon Miggins of West La Penitence, 42 – year – old Michael Ramlogan of South Turkeyen and 32 – year – old Tennessee Clarkson of ‘B’ Field Sophia, all pleaded not guilty to the charge.

It is alleged that between September 28 and 29 at ‘B’ Field Sophia, Greater Georgetown, they stole a quantity of cables valued $71,610, property of Guyana Telephone and Telegraph (GT&T).

The Court heard that the cables were found in an area at the back of Sophia and following police investigations, the four men were arrested.

They are scheduled to reappear in Court on November 28.
