Wesley Mingo. [iNews’ Photo][www.inewsguyana.com] – Two men who were caught by the police smoking cannabis, appeared before City Magistrate, Alex Moore on Wednesday, November 25.
The court heard that 20 – year – old Wesley Mingo and 27 – year – old Stephen Archer, both of Georgetown on November 24, 2015 in Georgetown were found by Police smoking marijuana in a public place.
Stephen Archer. [iNews’ Photo]The pleaded guilty to the offense and explained that on the day in question, they had both indeed smoked a joint each, but forgot about its remnants after they had dosed off.
According to the men, it was during their sleep that the police came told them of their suspicions, which they admitted to. In the end, Magistrate Moore fined both accused $5,000 each.
