Two men were nabbed with a quantity of cannabis during separate Police operations on Monday and Tuesday in Berbice and at the Itaballi Police Checkpoint.
Police stated that about 14:15h on Tuesday, they arrested a male who was attempting to traffic 1882 grams of marijuana.
Based on reports received, the man was first spotted by an undercover rank with the illegal plant opposite the B Division Headquarters waiting to be collected by a vehicle.
He was promptly arrested and is currently in custody assisting with investigations.
In addition, a female cook of Moblissa, Linden- Soesdyke Highway, was arrested after she was found to be in possession of 144 grams of cannabis at the Itaballi Police Checkpoint.
Charges are expected to be instituted shortly.
