A 7-year-old girl has become the latest road fatality after she was crushed by a truck at Agricola, Greater Georgetown on Saturday.
Based on information received, the child and her aunt were standing at the median waiting to cross the road when the truck struck them.
Eyewitness stated that the the driver of the truck swerved from hitting a motorcar and ended up into the median. The child died on the spot after she was pinned under the truck.
The driver of the truck who was attempting to escape from the scene was arrested.
