Breaking: Lusignan prison escapee Pascal recaptured in Kitty pit latrine


– Eight now on the run 

Police Public Relations and Press Officer, Superintendent Jairam Ramlakhan has confirmed that Lusigan Prison escapee Pascal Smith has been recaptured within the vicinity of Kitty, Georgetown.

According to Ramlakhan the escapee was found hiding in a pit latrine.

Of the 13 inmates who escaped from the Lusignan, walled compound, nine, inclusive of Pascal, have so far been recaptured.

The eight wanted fugitives, taking into account the four Camp Street escapees, now on the run are; Clive Forde, Shawn Harris, Kerry Cromwell ,Paul Goriah, Mark Durant Williams, Uree Varswyck, Stafrei Hopkinson Alexander, and Cobena Stephens.

So far three of the recaptured inmates- Jamal Joseph, Jamal Force and Winston Long- have plead guilty to escaping from lawful custody and were sentenced to 1 year each, while the others who plead not guilty are scheduled to appear at the Vigilance Magistrate’s court next month.

On Wednesday evening, another escapee was recaptured in Linden. He was identified as Kendall Skeete.
