The Ministry of Health reported today that 51 new COVID-19 cases were detected.
Guyana’s total number of confirmed cases is now 8313.
However, only 605 of these are currently active cases, that is, eight patients in the COVID-19 Intensive Care Unit and the other 597 persons in isolation.
There are also 17 persons in institutional quarantine.
To date, some 7519 persons have recovered from the life-threatening disease in Guyana. The death toll is now at 189.
