In the last 24 hours, only 12 new COVID-19 cases were recorded, taking the total number of confirmed cases in the country to 62,903.
But only 650 of these are currently active cases. This includes 10 patients in the COVID-19 ICU and the remaining persons in either home or institutional isolation.
There are also 12 persons in institutional quarantine.
Guyana’s COVID death toll remains at 1,220 after no new fatalities were reported today.
Meanwhile, some 61,033 persons have recovered from the life-threatening virus thus far.
