[www.inewsguyana.com] – Another brilliant batting performance from South African AB de Villiers led the Royal Challengers of Bangalore to a four wicket win today in the Lone match of the Indian Premier League.

Chasing down 155 for the loss 6 wickets, the RCB side showed the full power of their batting through de Villiers who slammed his way to 89 off just 41 balls, even putting the beating on countryman Dayle Steyn.

6 fours and 8 sixes is what AB took to make his total, four of those sixes coming off the 18th over bowled by Steyn.

Chris Gayle at the top of the order put the hammer down from the get go, clubbing his way to 27 off 19 thanks to 3 fours and 2 sixes before he went.

In the end, Karn Sharma had 3 wickets in his 4 overs which went for 25 runs while Buveshwar Kumar had 2 from his maximum which went for 16 as the side made 158/6.

Earlier, the Sunrisers who were told to bat first made their 155 for 6 total compliments of Captain Shikar Dhawan with a patient 36 ball 37, and a thunderous batting effort from David Warner who made 61 off 49.

Mithcell Strac had 2 wickets from his maximum amount of overs as did Varun Aaron, going for 21 and 33 respectively. Harshal Patel and Ashok Dinda had one wicket each.

Tomorrow will bring together the Rajasthan Royals and the Kolkata Knight Riders from 06:30 and the Delhi Daredevils and the Chennai Super kings from 10:30hrs.
