Woman shot in face during argument – alleged assailant on the run

A heated row between a woman and her reputed husband has left her hospitalised, nursing a gunshot wound to her face, as her assailant continues be on the run.

Reports are that 31-year-old Natasha Harry had to be rushed to the Diamond Diagnostic Centre for emergency medical attention shortly after her reputed husband allegedly whipped out a gun and discharged a round to her face during an argument.

INews understands that the shooting took place around 21:00h at Harry’s  Kuru Kururu, Linden/ Soesdyke Highway home.

According to relatives of the injured woman, Harry’s aunt had been at home when the gunshot was fired, and upon rushing towards the area where the young woman and her husband had been arguing, the aunt discovered her niece lying on the floor in a pool of blood bleeding.

The reputed husband identified as “Shawn” was nowhere to be seen as he had fled the crime scene after allegedly pulling the trigger.

Panicking, Harry’s aunt called out to her neighbours for their assistance and together they all managed to get the injured woman to the Diamond Diagnostic Centre.

Shortly after being admitted to the above-mentioned health facility, Harry was transferred to the Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation (GPHC) where she was admitted.

She is said to be in a stable condition.

Meanwhile, investigations continue into the matter and law enforcement officials are still on the hunt for ‘Shawn’.
