The body of the man that was found on Wednesday morning in a drain on Woolford Avenue, Georgetown, is yet to be identified.
INews understands that the discovery was made by an employee of the Government Technical Institute (GTI) who had just parked her vehicle alongside the drain.
According to the woman, Kellana Carmichael, who only started her new job at GTI on Tuesday, she was about to park her car when she noticed the body at around 10:00h.
The woman relayed that she immediately reported to the security guard who in turn called the Police. When the Police arrived, the man’s body was removed from the drain. He is of African descent and only has one arm.
The police are investigating the circumstance surrounding his demise.
