Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the robbery of Special Constable Sharon Marks on Monday night.
Marks, of Victoria, East Coast Demerara (ECD), is stationed at Special Constabulary Headquarters, Princess Street, Wortmanville Georgetown,
The incident occurred just about 20:26h at Good Hope, Railway Embankment, ECD as Marks was heading to work.
Information suggests that the Special Constable was walking on the Railway Embankment when two men grabbed her and demanded she hands over her bag. They grabbed the bag from her, containing two national identification cards, a bank card, $800 cash, a police shirt and head dress and made good their escape on foot.
A Police report was lodged and investigations are ongoing.
