West Indian white-ball captain Kieron Pollard has moments ago announced his retirement from international cricket.

The all-rounder made the declaration through a social media post on Instagram, in which he shared a heartfelt letter about his journey in West Indian colours and a video highlighting his highest points in the team.

Pollard played 123 ODIs and 101 T20Is for West Indies. He made his ODI debut in April 2007 against South Africa and his T20I debut the following year opposite Australia in Bridgetown.

No details are available as to the reason for Pollard’s announcement. INews will provide more information as it becomes available.
