DDL throws support behind Guyana Amazon Warriors for third consecutive year

Demerara Distillers Limited (DDL) has once again thrown its support behind the Guyana Amazon Warriors in the Hero Caribbean Premier League (CPL) making El-Dorado the official spirit of the Guyana Amazon Warriors for the third consecutive year.

This year is also, is the second year that the beverage giant has widened their support to include Gatorade to be the official sports drink of the Guyana Amazon Warriors.

DDL is already a Major Partner of the HERO CPL T20, with El Dorado Rum being the official spirit of the HERO CPL T20.
At the formal signing ceremony, CPL Guyana Team Operations Manager, Omar Khan, said that “the Guyana Amazon Warriors are delighted to partner with DDL and their world famous El Dorado Rum as an official Team Sponsor.”

The team Manager went on to say “This partnership means a lot to the Amazon Warriors as we aim to bring glory to the entire population of Guyana by capturing the CPL 2016 Trophy. Our team includes international players such as Martin Guptill, Chris Lynn and Adam Zampa and together with our local players Christopher Barnwell, Devindra Bishoo, Veerasammy Permaul, Anthony Bramble, Steven Jacobs and winning West Indies Under 19 Captain Shimron Hetmyer. I am certain that they will embrace this association with an International Brand such as El Dorado and more so as a product of the home of the Guyana Amazon Warriors.”

Through our El Dorado brand, we are pleased to be associated with the HERO CPL Tournament and this format of the game. Through this sponsorship and the marketing activities planned to coincide with the matches, we are giving our loyal El Dorado consumers an opportunity to enjoy our brand as much as they enjoy the game.”

The HERO CPL T20 Tournament opens in Trinidad on June 29 with defending champions the Trinidad Knight Riders going up against the St. Lucia Zouks at the Queen’s park Oval from 20:0 Hrs. The games come to Guyana from July 7 to July 12 and tickets are already on sale at the CPL, Guyana Office at Camp and Quamina Streets in Georgetown and at lot 19 Princess Elizabeth Road Queenstown, New Amsterdam Berbice.

This year El Dorado is giving fans an opportunity to win instant prizes with the purchase of any El Dorado 750ml product in stores and at the Guyana National Stadium, Providence. The grand prize this year is a VIP Crew Weekend experience at the final which is slated for August 7.

The Guyana Amazon Warriors play their first game this year against the St. Kitts Patriots at Warner Park on June 30.
