A Barber was today remanded to prison by Magistrate Ann Mc Lennan charged with Simple Larceny.
Twenty – two – year Joel Jack of East Coast Demerara pleaded not guilty to the charge which stated that on June 2 at Commerce Street on the East Coast of Demerara, he stole one Blackberry and a Flash Drive valued in total $28,000; the property of Zulfikar Kaleel.
The police prosecutor objected to bail on the grounds that the accused may not return to court for trial and that the stolen articles were found on his person. Joel Jack is to make his next court appearance on July 22. [Royan Abrams]
