About 02:30hrs today, a fire of so far unknown origin completely destroyed a house at Enmore, East Coast Demerara.
The Guyana Police Force, in a statement, said that after the blaze was extinguished the remains of Banmattie Persaud, 70 years, who lived alone in the building, was found among the debris.
Investigations are in progress. INews will bring you more details in a subsequent report.
