Dead: Elvis Johnnie

It was disclosed to Guyana Times that Jonnie suffered from epilepsy and had a drinking problem.

His cause of death has not yet been determined.

His father said Johnnie’s employer called the family to inform them about what had transpired, and when they arrived at the scene, his son’s body lay stiff on the ground.
“When me and my wife reach there he was still lying on the ground; and when we touch him, he was stiff,” the father explained.

As the man appeared to be already dead, the family called the police to the scene; and after examining the body, the police ordered that he rushed to the Leonora Cottage Hospital, Johnnie was officially pronounced dead on arrival.

The man’s father explained that his son’s employer told him that Johnnie had appeared to be in good health, but that he just fell, and when they inspected him, he was lying straight on the ground.

A post mortem examination to determine the man’s cause of dead is fixed for Friday. An investigation is ongoing.
