Police sponsors several groups for Mashramani parade

[www.inewsguyana.com] – Although ranks from the Guyana Police will be on duty as is customary on Mashramani Day, there are a number of ranks who will be able to have a direct presence in the parade by way of participation.

The Guyana Police has taken a decision to sponsor several schools and youth groups which it has been working with over the past few months. The young people will be supervised by ranks of the Guyana Police Force who are in the process of constructing and designing their costumes.

Recently, Assistant Commissioner of Police and Commander of the ‘A’ Division,Clifton Hicken visited the locations where the police are working with their youth groups in preparation for the parade.

Among those taking part would be children from Central Georgetown, Rosemary Lane, Mocha, Grove and Agricola.
