A 33-year-old unemployed man of Adelaide Street, Charlestown was on Monday found dead by his father in their home.
Based on information reaching this publication, the father, identified as Leroy Barry told investigators that he awoke around 06:00h and called out to his son, checking in his room where he slept before going away.
Barry said he then returned around 09:00h and made several calls to his son but got no answer.
Upon checking again he told investigators that he noticed “blood clot stains” on the bed and his son’s motionless body.
He then reported the matter to the police.
INews was told that no marks of violence were seen on the body which is currently at the Lyken funeral parlour awaiting a postmortem examination.
Police investigations are currently ongoing.
