Plaisance woman lands in court for providing false info on passport application form

A woman was on Tuesday granted bail after appearing at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Courts to answer to the charge of knowingly providing false information on her passport application form.

Passport2 (1)Carlotta Musa, of Prince William Street, Plaisance, pleaded not guilty to the charge which stated that on June 25, 2016, she stated on her passport application form that she was born on October 27, 1993, knowing the information to be untrue.

The prosecution contended that Musa despite knowing that the information was untrue, signed the declaration section of the form vowing all of the information was correct. Musa was granted bail in the sum of $50,000 and will be returning to court on July 15.
