[www.inewsguyana.com] – The jockeys of the co-feature race of the Guyana Cup Horse Race meet scheduled for ‎August 24 will have added incentive to win the 1600 metres event for the huge Zeneyatta Memorial Trophy.

The Tickaram family of the USA donated the large trophy to the organizers of the event, Jumbo Jet Auto Sales on Friday for the race that will have a $2M first place prize.

The event will see three year old horses from Guyana and the Caribbean competing against each other to decipher the best of the lot at the Port Mourant Turf Club.

Further, the event will be ‎one of the most lucrative sports events in Guyana this year, with an aggregate of $25 million to give away.

In addition, the event is set to attract thousands of ardent horse racing fans from around Guyana and the Caribbean to view the top bred horses.
