[www.inewsguyana.com] – Nineteen – year-old George Scott and 18 – year – old Shamar Singh, accused of two counts of armed robbery, appeared before City Magistrate, Judy Latchman and denied the charges.

It is alleged that Scott of Hadfield Street, Georgetown and Singh of Lot 67 Durban Street, Lodge Georgetown on November 01, 2015 in Georgetown, while being in the company of others and being armed with a cutlass, robbed Jeremy Jarvis of one haversack, one dress shirt and one cellular phone, the total value of $31,000.

It is also alleged that on the same day, the duo also robbed Chris Forde of $2,000 cash.

In light of the seriousness of the offense, the Prosecution objected to bail; citing the fact that a dangerous weapon was used during the commission of the robberies.

However, the Attorney for both accused explained to the court that the offence is a bail-able one; as such he asked for reasonable bail on behalf of the duo. Magistrate Latchman denied bail and the two are slated to reappear in court on November 12.

  1. why it has to do with the government guys ,they were caught by the government , stop being racis , they are young tugs , it happens all over the world ,

  2. Maybe these two Gringos were already pardoned by Granger. If not, their days in prison wil be short lived as they have no right to be in prison but in school or other institutions of learning where they could further develop their skills- to become better at robbing those hardworking citizens at gun point or other offensive weapons

  3. let them check their background and the will see why this country is been over run by young criminals, is mothers allowed to make them with no job or no pardner around to train these children so the are left to their own accord, the grow up seeing other people children with cellphones and things that the never had so the build up a hate for them and the cycle goes on and on and on, children that grow up in a proper home will almost never turn to crime ,if the do it will be very few, the social ministry need to step in and stop this madness of people making children and cant mind themselves much less children and then loosing them as predators on us and our children, god help us if this government dont step in and see the light. .
