  1. Burnham did a lot of good stuff for this country. Unfortunately the PPP did all they could to destroy his legacy. The PPP did a lot of good things also. So credit to both of them. However, the PPP was all about control and they were on the verge of owning and controlling people mind and body. ITS TIME for them to reel and come again but in opposition. The have 49% of this country to represent. Let’s move on.

  2. I’m waiting to see that one, suddenly you will hear it’s for the benefit of Guyana…hyprocrites

  3. all they wanted was to get in power, they are power drunk, GUYANESE should be priority not buildings

  4. hmmm is it because de president middle name is arthur, just saying lol
thought it woulda be burnhman conference center as pnc claim he do suh much fuh guyana

  5. this is so crazy the new government wants to rename the GICC,cause this the name all guyanese knows. This new government should focus on the people and not renaming buildings, that is not so important.

  6. These places were built with taxpayers money. As such they are public property that should be controlled by the government that was elected by the majority people of guyana. Wake up

  7. They would want to ride on what progress was made by the ppp. Whatever Mr Granger
vote down He should not want to do now that he is President he should come up with
something original. from The Hydro to a deep water port.

  8. Can you please find some money and fix City Hall! on my last visit, I was shocked that such a beautiful building has been allowed to fall apart.

  9. the undemocratically constructed marriott hotel would be renamed the barriott and the shoddy makeshift white sand beach would be called donald bleachers.

  10. why we guyanese dont get free internet whiled the rest of countrys have free internet i would like it our country can do the same for us mr president

  11. They opposed the building of the conference centre, the berbice river bridge, the “white elephant” stadium ,the specialty hospital, the university of Guyana ,airport expansion , the marriot hotel, the leonora track etc. etc. etc. now the get busy renaming and renaming. guess where the new president will be inaugurated? at the “white elephant ” stadium!!!! oh boy!

  12. GICC should have been name David Rose or Joe Jagan. or better yet Viola Harper
Burnham. My choice would be an Amerindian Leader, a First Nation name is always
    best for Guyana.

  13. Come on u can do better than that. U wanna push buttons do a better job. If this is the way forward why go backward. Lmfao. All of Guyana have to look out for a name change. Lol.

  14. I just love how our president is flexing his muscles. We need a man who we can depend on. Long live mr granger

  15. Would Moses Nagamootoo name be also changed to Moses Granger?
This undemocratic government should pray for vision and think of God a little.

  16. Good move Mr. President. Mr. Chung deserves this respect. In its haste to kick anything not PPP into the scrap heap of history they blindly could not give credit where it was due. UG is a good exsmple
