[www.inewsguyana.com] – Another decomposed body of a Fisherman was found today (Monday, July 28).
According to police this second body is that of 22 – year – old Naresh Persaud of No. 72 Village, Corentyne. He was found on the foreshore at Alness, Corentyne.
Persaud was one of five men who had gone to sea in the fishing boat “Miss Seema” that was found on July 25. The body of Omesh Derhup had been found earlier on the foreshore at Kildonan, Corentyne, Berbice.
Post mortem examinations were done by Pathologist Dr. Vivekanand Brijmohan who gave the cause of death of Persaud as due to multiple injuries. He has not given his findings as yet in relation to Derhup.
Among the others missing are: the captain Deownanan ‘Rajesh’ Ravindranauth, 43, of Crabwood Creek and crew members Ramesh Persaud, 19, of Number 72 Village and the other known only as ‘Prakash’.
Hope of finding the others alive seemed dim at this time.
The investigations are ongoing.
