Minibus driver shot during attempted robbery

Crime scene[www.inewsguyana.com] – A 38 – year – old minibus driver is now hospitalized with a gunshot wound to his back after two men tried to rob him on Tuesday night.

According to a police report, at about 22:00 hrs on Tuesday December 15, 2015, a mini-bus driven by Jermain Brown of Sparendaam, East Coast Demerara, was stopped by a man along the Railway Embankment at Liliendaal, ECD.

The man pulled out a firearm as he entering the vehicle, while another man approached the driver. iNews understands that at this point, Brown accelerated the vehicle and drove away during which the armed man discharged a round which struck him to his back.

He has been admitted to hospital for medical treatment as the investigations continue.

  1. Will that “baby” party also picket for this victim? They were quick to picket for those two criminals who were killed in a shootout with the police in South Ruimveldt.

    I have one simply solution for these criminals. Once you decided on a life of crime ypu have also inadvertently signed your DEATH WARRANT.
