[www.inewsguyana.com] – The ‘Guinness greatest in de street’ football tournament will culminate this evening at the National Park tarmac with an exhibition match as well as the semi – finals and finals.
In the finals, Stevedore and Queen Street are set to do battle for this year’s crown in the Georgetown leg of the tournament.
With the two teams battling hard in their build up to the finals, fans can expect a highly entertaining match as witnessed throughout the tournament.
Hope Street and Albouystown ‘B’ will battle for third place in the first encounter of the match.
With cash prizes totaling $1 million, the top team will cart off $500 000, second place 300 000, third spot $200 000 and fourth place $100 000.
Each of the spots will also receive trophies. Both Stevedore and Queen Street qualify to take part in next year’s ‘Caribbean Guinness Greatest of the Streets Futsal competition, which is scheduled to be held in Trinidad and Tobago in June.
