[www.inewsguyana.com]Linda Phillips of 45 Crown Dam, Industry, East Coast Demerara is nursing stab wounds to her body at the Georgetown Public Hospital.

Phillips, age 32 was stabbed to her chest and back at her residence by two unknown persons around 10:45hrs on Thursday October 3.

A female suspect, who was caught in the bushes, is in police custody. Linda Phillips has been living there for the past three years and according to her Landlord Pamela, all she could remember was that she heard the woman screaming for help.

She occupies the bottom flat of the two storey building with her husband and four children. At the time of the incident, Phillips had just completed her chores when she was attacked in the house.

According to the Landlord, when she ventured outside, she saw Phillips holding onto her back with blood on the front entrance to the yard.

The woman said since Phillips has been living there she and her husband never had problems. However, residents told iNews that the captured suspect when caught shouted out that her accomplice was paid to kill the woman.

Residents revealed that the female suspect was caught in some bushes not too far away from the crime scene with gloves, wigs, medical items.
