The fate of a daughter who is being accused of orchestrating the murder of her father some eight years ago will soon be known when she faces the Court on Tuesday.

INews understands that Bibi Nazeela Habiboodean has allegedly confessed to being the mastermind behind the murder of her father, Habiboodean – an East Bank Essequibo (EBE) businessman – when she turned herself in at the Leonora Police Station, West Coast Demerara (WCD) on Wednesday, last.

The now 50-year-old woman also implicated other persons in her father’s murder, including 28-year-old Linden Lewis, called “Bullet” who was already in police custody and reportedly confessed to being the ‘hit man’ in the brutal murder.

Bibi, along with the other suspects were taken into custody a few days ago, and presently law enforcement officials are trying to locate a fifth person  in relation to the businessman’s murder.

Habiboodean, 77, who was the owner of a gas station at Ruby, EBE, had died at a hospital after being badly beaten in his home on February 15, 2008.

The dead businessman’s daughter, and his former employee, Terry Lewton, 38, of Vergenoegen, EBE, had been charged with the murder at that time, but the case was subsequently dismissed owing to insufficient evidence.

The case has now been reopened by investigators following a breakthrough last week when one of the four persons arrested for the murder of Mohamed Munir, 75, and his wife, Bibi Jamila Munir, 69, who were burnt to death in their Good Hope, EBE home, said he had knowledge of Habiboodean’s death.

Lewis, a.k.a  “Bullet”, during interrogation, told investigators that he was the hit man behind Habiboodean’s murder.
