[www.inewsguyana.com]The West Indies Cricket Board (WICB) has decided that on account of the recent events they are recalling their under 19 Team from the tour of Bangladesh.

WICB Corporate Communications officer Imran Khan through social network twitter confirmed that the arrangements are being made to have the team return home as quickly as possible.

This follows an explosion a short distance away from the team’s hotel in Chittagong.

After a security assessment, the team was ordered to pull out and discontinue their current engagement with their Bangladeshi Counterparts.

The WICB issued a statement on Saturday saying that all players and officials of the West Indies under-19 team on tour of Bangladesh are safe and not in danger.

After that statement, another was issued saying the second One-Day Match between Bangladesh Under-19 and West Indies Under-19 scheduled to be held at Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium, Chittagong on Sunday has been shifted to Monday.

The venue and match timing would have remained the same but now the board has opted to all together pull the team out.

The team is seeking to leave the country as quickly as possible even as the BCB tries to ensure them of maximum safety precautions.
