A man who was wanted by the police for questioning in relation to several crimes was found dead on Sunday morning on the Uitvlugt Access Road, West Coast Demerara.
Dead is 36 year old Clinton Walks, also known as ‘Bongo’, of Lot 3 Bus Shed Street, Uitvlugt, West Coast Demerara.
Police are treating the investigation as a murder since multiple suspected chops wounds were discovered about the man’s body, particularly to his back, left ear and abdomen.
According to police, the deceased was sentenced to eighteen months imprisonment in 2015 for break-and-enter and larceny.
He was also wanted in relation to several reports of similar offence as well as for simple larceny committed in and around the Uitvlugt community.
The body is at the Ezekiel’s Funeral Home at Best Village awaiting a post-mortem.
