Vryheid’s Lust resident granted $40,000 for allegedly stealing $1,000 purse

[www.inewsguyana.com] – Twenty – One – year – old Kevin Singh of Vryheid’s Lust, East Coast Demerara made his first court appearance before Magistrate Judy Latchman charged with simple larceny. Singh pleaded not guilty to the charge which read that on October 25 at Prashad Nagar Georgetown he stole one purse valued $1,000 and which contained $900 cash property of Marcia Williams.

Attorney – at – law Paul Fung – A – Fat represented the accused and made an application for reason bail. The Magistrate granted him $40,000 bail and he is to return to court on November 11. [Royan Abrams]
